My review :

I was curious about this book as soon as I read that the 2 main protagonists were writing together. I thought that it could be a nice change from other erotic stories.
In Long Night, we immediately dive into the erotic dimension, from the second to the last page. All allusions are here and the reader knows exactly where he’s going.
This book is efficient. It’s a veritable page turner. Sexual tension and attraction between protagonists are really captivating as both characters are obsessed with each other.
How can 2 co-writer slip in sexuals games so quickly? And what will happen to them when they meet physically? Because one of the most important condition of this emailing co-writing is that none of them knows anything about the other, neither their name, age, nor the place they live…
But Hannah makes the mistake of sending him an email from her personal mail, showing him her picture. As soon he sees it, Matt is obsessed with her and starts having strong fantasies.
The writing alternates between Matt’s and Hannah’s thoughts, and the style can vary according to the context: sometimes it’s trashy, sometimes it’s romantic… Hannah’s past made her vulnerable and when she meets Matt, she realizes she loves S&M relation, but only with him . She’s docile and let herself be lead  by Matt. But he’s hiding deep secrets from her, starting with his girlfriend Bethany…
The reader knows that their relationship starts on the wrong foot and will be instable.

I had a really great time with this book and I read it in a few hours . The events of the second part are really touching and my sensibility  suffered from it. We can see how much they need each other and I liked seeing  different sides of Matt’s personality (If I can say it like that…) It made me sometimes think of Christian Grey, even if Matt is really more constant, less a stalker, and also more sexy (in my opinion)

Another aspect I liked is that Matt is not one of this 30 years old multi-billionaire tycoon. He is creating his own legacy but he wants to be loved for himself, not for his money, so he’s not one to flash his money all along.

The end was.. Whaou , no… I read it wrong.. No, it can’t end like that! I read it again, and yes, M Pierce did this crazy thing which makes you want to jump straight into the second opus!

In conclusion, Long Night is a really good and unusual erotic romance. I read this book weeks ago and the characters are still in my mind !
